As your representative for SD House District 23, I will bring common sense to Pierre every single day. I’m not promising flashy new bills — I’m promising to listen to you, protect what matters most, and always uphold the U.S. & SD Constitutions, and the SDGOP Platform.
I am pro-life from the moment of conception. I am personally thankful that my birth mother chose life and adoption — otherwise I wouldn’t be here today. Life is a God-given right protected by the South Dakota Constitution (Article VI) and I will always defend the most vulnerable in District 23.
District 23 is built on agriculture and family farms that have sustained our communities for generations — including my husband’s family operation since 1912. What you own should stay yours. No person, company, or government entity should have the right to take private land for someone else’s gain without the owner’s full consent. I will fight to protect private property rights as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution (5th and 14th Amendments) and the South Dakota Constitution.
Decisions about what our children learn should be made right here at home by parents and locally elected school boards — not by bureaucrats in Pierre or Washington. As Vice President of the Miller School Board, I have seen firsthand how local control works best. I will always support parental rights and local control, consistent with the 10th Amendment and South Dakota values.
We need good roads and the infrastructure our farms and small towns need to thrive — all while keeping taxes as low as possible and making sure government lives within its means, just like our families do every day. I will fight for practical solutions that strengthen rural District 23 (Brown, Campbell, Edmunds, Faulk, Hand, McPherson, Potter, and Walworth counties) without growing government.
I strongly support our constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Guns and ammo are a solid investment, and I will always stand firm in defense of the Second Amendment. As a South Dakotan who believes in self-reliance and liberty, I will oppose any efforts to restrict law-abiding citizens’ rights.
Government should be limited and accountable. I believe in fiscal responsibility, living within our means, and returning power to the people and local communities. I will work every day to reduce the size and scope of government, cut wasteful spending, and keep taxes low so families and farms in District 23 can prosper — in full alignment with the SDGOP Platform and both state and federal constitutions.
I believe in true local control. Decisions about large developments like this should be made by the people who live here — county commissions, city councils, and neighbors — not dictated from Pierre or pushed through with state mandates. We should protect our reliable energy for our homes, farms, and small businesses, not risk driving up rates for families and producers.
